I got the sudden urge to get another nitro vehicle. I will be bashing only. Mostly the area seen in my e-maxx video. Now, I want something that can jump, has speed, agility, and maybe 4wd. I tought maybe nitro rusty/pede, mitilator pro, or t-maxx. I am open to any rtr's. Will be purchasing in 2 months. I need to get researching, so wanna give me some suggestions? And if anyone needs a good car to go to work and back in or something, that is what I am selling to finance this venture. I will be open to just about any offroad vehicle, I am also thinking CEN RACING'S GST 7.7. Anything you own and drive, that you think a hardcore basher may like, let me know. Also, I think I may replace my e-maxx, so if interested in a e-maxx, pics are all over this forum and it is my avitar, let me know, will be a good deal, make offer.
Oh, yeah, I almost forgot, please include pros and cons of the vehicle(s) you may suggest.

if you are wanting to bash what about the HPI firestorm? i saw a video recently of a guy launching the crap out of his on a pretty close to vertical ramp, and that thing just would not break.

lol, besides that you've only driven it like 10 times... no offence... and ways, revo, t-maxx, or savvy XL... no buggies for bashing IMO

A buggy would be fine to run in the area I would be bashing. But, if I go buggy, I will have to race to, so in that instance, I would have to go get a kit and build the crap out of it, losing ain't an option.
I already have a revo.
does anyone know about this truck... Associated 1/8 Monster GT 4.60 SE RTR?

1. Associated 1/8 Monster GT 4.60 SE RTR
2. Mutilator pro
3. I think it is called Hyper 8.5, I will check to be sure it is the right buggy
4. Nitro Stampede or rustler or Jato 3.3
5. Cen Racing GST 7.7
6. One of the savage trucks, probly the XL I think it was
7. Add more later when I find my list

I have been reasearching all morning, and I think I may have chosen a winner, or atleast a front runner.
Savage XL 5.9...........I thought about the SS, but the XL looks like what I would want and need.
I am still open for any suggestions, and Yes, I like the 8.0 AE, But the Savvy looks a bit more well suited for my needs.

IMO the nitro pede with a 2.5r in it is the most thing EVER!!!! wheelies when u want 'em, up to 50 mph, looks great, strong vehicle, etc. plus it's made by traxxas!!

I had a Nitro Pede once upon a time. I was not all that impressed with it as far as todays standards go. The pede has not changed at all, so I know from first hand experiance what they will do. I have a 2.5R from my revo I could drop in one, but I do not want to have to change an engine in a rtr to make it worthy to bash. I would not mind having one, but I will buy it used, or just a roller, so I can sort through it and change or upgrade what I need to, engine included. I need something a little beefier, wich is why the traxxas products were toward the bottom of my list of what to buy, and really only there incase I could not find something that would suit my need for insaine speed, and sick air. Do not get me wrong, I like traxxas and I own 3 traxxas products, but there are more manifactures out there with amazing products to choose from. IMO anyone so close minded not to see that is nothing more than a hipocrit, and need to get out and experiance life. One can not rely on a single stone to build a mountain.
CEN GST 7.7 is just too big and 20lb wont hit the ground easy. Wheels are weak servos are crap. my buddy has one and he is really not too hard on the truck but he just cant keep it going is going out of the cen biz and looking at a savage.

I do have a racing revo. Perhaps you missed it in my earlier threads. I was thinking hard about it at work last night, and I kinda got the ankering for a kit buggy build. I already have plenty of MT's, and only an old tamiya buggy that does not run. So, time to freshen up the buggies I am thinking. I will keep the savage xl at the top of my MT list for now. I like the AE Factory team RC8RS. It looks like a champ. I love the FM 10 model memory controller it comes with, the starter is sweet looking, and it has a .28pro engine. I also like it's kit form, Factory Team RC8. I looks tough as nails. Looks to be a direct drive setup, no tranny. Does anyone know this for sure? Any comments on the buggy? Does The kit form accept a picco .28? I also like the ofna Hyper 8.5 pro kit. Is it any better than the AE?

I found a definate front runner. I picked up the May '08 issue of RC Driver last night at work. On the cover is the Ofna HoBao Hyper 9. It is supposed to come with threaded aluminum bodied shocks in a production kit form. The way they cut the fins on the cooling head is awsome. I love the looks of this buggy, and I cannot wait for the review to be printed. I am strongly leaning toward this buggy when it makes it's production debut in May. I, unless I find something else that peaks my interest between now and then, will be the first one down at the LHS to pick up this kit. I have heard loads of great things on ofna buggies @ my local track. This kit looks to one up them all. I will post picks when I pick it up. I would like to hear you comments on this buggy if you have any.

that buggy looked really sweet, but my fav has to be the Team Magic buggy previewed a while back...
I wouldn't recommend a team magic buggy. Parts support at the track/hobby shop will be slim to none. Also there wont be to many people who know how to set it up so great.
For buggy defiantly stick to Losi/Mugen/Ofna/Associated

Buggy class....1.Ofna HoBao/Hyper 9
2.Ofna HoBao/Hyper 8.5
3.AE Factory Team RC 8RS
Truggy Class...1.Ofna Mutilator Pro
2. I like the Jammin' also
Monster Truck 1. Savage XL 5.9
2. T-Maxx 3.3
3. HPI Hellfire
Which way would you guys go? I am leaning toward the Hyper 9, But I love the rtr rc8 from AE. It has a 10 car memory Radio, and other cool stuff it comes with.

For my 2 cents, of that list I'd pick up the Hellfire....i believe it's the only one listed that comes as a kit. :) Building it up from the ground is so much fun!
The hellfire comes as both kit and rtr. I don't recommend the hellfire rtr, Its super heavy and brakes a ton. The kit my be better tho......

The Hyper 9 will come a a kit. I am not sure if it will be a roller or in peices. Either way if I get that, it will be put together all the way from ground up. I know the AE FT rc8 is available in a kit form, again, I am unsure if it is roller or parts. The hyper 8.5 comes kit form as well, but again...I need to do more research. Dang it!!!:(

Kit = Build it completely, yourself
Roller = Assembled at the factory, in most cases, you buy engine/pipe/Tx-Rx yourself
RTR...self explanatory.
The Hyper 9 will be a kit. The AE RC8 is NOT available as a kit, it IS a Roller and also RTR.

i would suggest the savage.. i have a 25 and love it the only thing that im having problems with is that i cant keep the spur gear from slipping on the clutch... the clutch wants to not spin with the spur gear... but other than that that is all that i have had problems with.... its a durable truck and i have put it through hell so far.. and i bought it used....
