Well this my REVO rebuild
I cant get recent pics cuz my computer got a virus but anyways....

Jan 29th

Parts came! :D Selling all the maxx parts, dont have enough money to build this one. $50 if anyones interested, lol

revo is missing alot of screws, linkages, and a motor mount. I also relised its a 2.5 chassis. And i ordered the throttle and brake linkage new for $4

Jan 30th

Friend came over and got me most o the parts i need, bunch of screws and the motor mount. Got everything together on the 2.5 chassis, just wanted to do a comparison between the 3 3 and the 2 5, yup its way shorter bout half a inch.

He also brought over his revo all custom powder coated orange, its sick and its awesome in the snow, lol And he bought my supercharger for $80 so more money to work with :D

Feb 1st

Linkage came in the mail, real fast shipping - recommend Rc-Nitro-Hobbies i believe his eBay ID was.

I also put the motor in place, still need the flywheel, clutch + bell any donations :o lol

Started transfering everything over to the 3 3 chassis got about halfway before i called ity quits for the night

Feb 2nd

Finished putting the rest on the new chassis. front drive shaft is wicked short, still dont know about the front diff since its blown and that driveshaft is short. thinkin 2wd for now, have to take the part of the driveshaft that allows you to use the brake that connects to the trans

Feb 3rd

Put the linkages on today, lost the screw that connects the brake to the link from the servo
My other revo needs a 1way bearing so 2moro while it has downtime im gonna swap the flywheel, clutch, etc to get the other running... hopefully

Still dont know about 2wd right no w, anywas youy could make it 2wd? I looked at the front driveshafts and its gonna have that resistance of the shot front diff probably not even work atall. But i got the brake figured out. ANd a friend showed me how to setup up locking diffs from a summit. Maybe i'l do that once i get the money its like $150

Are you building this to bash or race? Bashing, deff the 3.3 chassis, racing, def the 2.5 chassis. If you are going to race more than bash, then Pm me, I will send you a detailed list for track tuning. It will be a great start.

Ordered the flywheel, clutch + bell, etc yesterday night.

Probably gonna get a slayer chassis once i get everything together, since the old 2.5 is beat to hell and back, lol. Its gonna be a racer (thx phil) since the parts i need can be upgraded for racing purposes. Sourcing parts and a little bling/ heavy duty parts gonna get thrown in there.
AND
I dropped it on the ground from like 2 feet up and i cracked a skid plate (rear) Might as well get new ones ($10)

Man you really need to fix that suspention. I am working on getting mine done, just need springs and p3 rockers and p3 push rods. I already got what I could adjusted and it made a world of difference. I can corner full out on grass as long as I keep it hammered. Bumps and small jumps are easily tackled now and do not throw her off coarse. Getting closer to racing spec.:D

I was lookin on eBay and tower and for racing mods its gonna be like $70-80. Unfortunatly I cant do that right now cause I just spent $110 on that Snowmobile

Good news is that Im gonna sell the snowmobile for $350 buy it now on eBay and make a good $150 out of it, maybe list for $400 idk. But i gotta get that sold before winters over.

Other good news is that the revo will be basher complete and I can do the suspension tuning snce i have like 10 sets of rockers and 5 different shock oils I still have to go through them first  But for the most part i can make it race ready but just a little bit diffrent from phils recommendations. (undisclosed):p Lol

Im thinkin the motors not that great, its a pull start and the first i had. It seems to have compression but i can hear a leak on the carb. not really familiar with engines too much but it will run for a real quick second if i plug the intake with my thumb but when i take it away, it just leaks. real hard to do though one hand on the pull start one hand holding the truck down and with my thumb on the intake. ughhhhhh

ez start so much better

I hate this thing- really hate it. I got it running and tuned mint like last week and the stupid engine blows and loses compression while i was just cruising around the front yard. Im lookin into possibly startin fresh with a new roller equipped with a mach 23 (i think, im really tired) hitec servos and some other goodies, this one just isnt good enough to ever be put on the track but I didnt lose any money and got some extra parts
