I don't know where to spend my money. My friend just got a Revo and and EightT. I help him break in both but really only got to run the Revo. I've been looking for the last couple of months at buying a Revo and I really enjoyed running his...only prob is that when I saw the 8T run, it sounded so much better and def handled better. I really am never going to race whatever I buy but I do love speed. I'm sure that there are many people in each camp who say great things about each of these rc's so let me hear what you all have to say so I can finally make up my freakin mind!! Thanks!

Revo, all the way. if you never plan to race, (and heck, even if you do) the revo gives you ground clearance, an amazing suspension system, excellent durability and handling, tons and tons of adjustments and while it's very fast stock with the 3.3, there are all kinds of hop ups out there to improve whatever facet of it you do not like. Not to take anything away from the 8ight-T - it's a purpose built racer and an awesome machine. but for construction sites, parking lots, and everything in between I'd go with the revo.

I have been bashing around with my revo for 2 years and it's one of the toughest trucks i own, and still running the original 2.5 with the close ratio gear set as it's plenty of power for me and i have broken a few bits, but nothing major - it's one tough truck.

and i do not work for traxxas :) just my $.02!

I would much rather have a truggy then a revo, but I don't bash either.

what do you intend on doing with the truggy or MT? Thats my first question.

see with a truggy you can do both bash and race. the truggies dont break as much as the mt's. also you would have much more fun with a truggy then an mt because you are always working on it no matter what . i use to have a t-maxx 3.3 and i had to work on it everytime after a race and get the parts right away for the next race. the parts on the mt's are harder to get to also because everything is bunched up.

When i got my truggy a couple months later i raced with it and 5 races afterwards i didint have to buy a piece or replace anything to it.

so what i am tyring to say is that a truggy is better than a monster truck

Boy this is a loaded question for sure.
The answer depends on what you will be doing, you say you will mostly bash and not race, so the question that needs to be answered is what suits your fancy? Buggy, Truggy, Monster Truck. every manufacturer sells a vehicle suitable for your needs. If I were you I would see what Brand/Model is supported by the local hobby supplier.there is nothing worse than waiting for mail order parts to arrive,(at least for me).
Above all you should have fun with your new Vehicle.:D

8T holds a tune very well. I never have to adjust more than a hour on the carb. Plus you get a Spketrum radio. Much better optimum control and no glitching. My 2 cents:)

I own a revo, and I agree that stuff breaks. This is a hobby built on that. You can go out and buy any vehicle out there and something will eventually break on it. Right now I am hearing that the wheelie king is darn near indestuctable, and fun to drive. But it sounds like you want nitro and not electric. A revo has a slew of upgrades and parts avaliable. Shipping through mail has put me down about a week on some things, but it kept me from breaking something else inbetween. I have a tendancy to overcompensate for my lack of space by building insane jumps. The Revo has taken to them very well and has only broken up the body a little, the cooling head and 1 rim. like I said, I fly mine high, jumping my suburban, and my pickup from front bumper to the rear. I even built a ramp once that I tryed to land e-maxx on the roof of my house. I fell short by about 6 inches and it crashed to the ground busting the front left lower a arm. Long story short, bashers break.

Ofna Mutilator Pro sounds like a good basher and entry level racer. However, Traxxas is about to release the new revo Platinum edition. Check it out B-4 you make a decission. My 2.5R Revo would hang with some of the truggies @ my local track. Now I have just broken in my new 3.3, and put racing tires on it, and I should be able to run well with the truggies, and blow away the competion in the MT Cl**** they cain't drive real well, most of them race truggies and buggies more than MT's and spend more time dialing in their top racers than the Revo's they run. So, they either drive it like a buggy/truggy wich has much lower CG or over compensate for the CG by going too slow on turns and rythems. I am a MT guy who is thinking of getting a truggy to play with.

^^ lol, vs. a truggy guy looking for an MT to play with... i'd turn the revo into a full-blown racing machine, and then do an E-revo conversion for bashing...
