I have a 1994 stadium blitzer (yes its 13 yrs old),it has the original motor and was curious as to how to make the motor itself fast without replacing it.
The truck seems to hit between 20 - 30 mph (I think). The only things I have ever replaced are the rims, tires, and body. Oh yeah the battery pack too.
Anyone have any ideas .... please help!!!!

Cleaning it, rebuilding it if possible. And then feeding it more voltage will make it faster.

See if you can take it apart, clean it, see if you can have someone cut the armature for you , shim the arm in the can and put new springs and brushes on it for starters.

If it already runs that well. I would say it's doing a good job if it's a stock motor. Basic cleaning & inspection would definitely tell a story. Replacements are everywhere. With a new ESC & motor, you could be doing good. Keep these aside for later if you want. Strap a lipo in with the newer stuff & it will ROCK I guarantee.

Yes, every thing is original as far as the chassi and motor. Still runs great. I just wondered if I could get it to go faster without getting a new motor.
I'll post a pic a soon as I can.

Thanks for the replies, though I'm not sure if that motor can be taken apart or not -- as for shimming the bushing:confused:
I got the truck from my bro in-law in 96 and haven't done much to except put in a new LRP speed control this summer. The other one ... well ... sucked:rolleyes:
