Default 4 channel tx?

i am building a 2.2 comp crawler/rock racer and i need a 4 channel radio so i can have front dig and a 2 speed transmission. i was going to get an airtronics m11 but it is too much money. i could run an airplane transmitter but i would have to modify it so the throttle will center but i would prefer a trigger transmitter because i fly too so it sort of screws me up.

also, if i do run an airplane transmitter ehat are the laws? do i have to run 2.4 ghz? and how easy is it to set it up so it is an moa crawler and each stick controls an axle (lateral is steering and vertical is throttle)?

they dont want you to run plane TX/RX's on ground RC's, because then you could crash a plane into somebodys skull.

have you looked at those futaba RC4WDs? cant remember if they even are futaba, or the price.

sweet... the tq's are to me the most comfortable transmitters out there... to bad they are kinda limited.... if traxxas released a tq with memory and things like that id get one in a heart beat
