These aren't slammed and lowered versions lookalikes designed for ultimate performance, though: the True Ten ideal is to replicate the real cars as they are in real life - in width, height, length and detail, with details so precise that real car fans wouldn't be able to tell the difference at first glance.

The True Ten series features the most painstaking attention to detail that our designers have ever tackled. Every body line and curve from the real car is represented in the crash-resistant bodyshell. Every door line, bootlid and side skirt is represented exactly as it appears on the real car. There are even reproductions of the actual windscreen wipers, bumpers, exhaust systems and mirrors, allowing the HPI True Ten series to deliver the utmost in scale car driving!

With the Cup Racer, you can find elements of past HPI achievements put together to make the ultimate scale RC enthusiast's machine - ready for your hands to assemble and create the magic that is radio control modeling.

With the True Ten chassis, you will be able to fit a wide range of upcoming HPI True Ten bodyshells, as well as available bodyshells such as the popular M-chassis models. Because real cars have varying dimensions such as width, wheelbase and height, HPI designers have created the True Ten chassis to be as flexible as possible when fitting true-to-scale bodyshells.

What this means is that you can easily change the wheelbase of the car to suit short or long wheelbase cars (210mm or 225mm). Also very important is the width of the car - you will be able to incrementaly widen or narrow the width of the chassis by as little as 1mm at a time, and up to 13mm per side, with a combination of hex hub adapters, spacers and offset wheels. You'll be able to get the on-the-edge sports car look or the sedate passenger car look in a matter of minutes with the ingenius True Ten spacer system!

To help you get a totally realistic looks, we will be offering a range of reproduction classic wheel types to suit the True Ten chassis.

Like the popular Rays TE37 replica drift wheels from HPI, the True Ten wheels will be offered in the widest selection of wheel offsets available to RC modelers: standard 0mm offset, wider 3mm offset for an extra 6mm of total width, and the 6mm deep-offset design for widening the car a full 12mm from the wheels alone!

Fits a Massive Range of Bodyshells
As you can see here, the True Ten chassis is designed from the ground up to be totally realistic and true to scale: true one-tenth scale! With a huge variety of real cars to choose from, plus the range of M-type bodyshells available already, we wanted to make sure that RC scale fanatics would be able to fit any available bodyshell on the chassis with a minimum of hassle.

A selection of body posts will be available to custom-fit any True Ten or M-chassis bodyshell, using a variety of body post locations. Even car designs with low-profile front ends will fit, thanks to the laydown-style front shocks! Coupe-style bodies will fit easily with the changeable rear post mount location. In short, ANY M-chassis bodyshell will fit, to allow you to replicate ANY car you like!

The front shock fitting can also be changed to a more standard upright shock setting, or a laydown configuration to help fit low-profile bodyshells.

The chassis will take any stick, side-by-side or even hard-case LiPo battery packs in the uniquely cool swing-out battery tray. Standard-height servos fit in the slickly designed laydown area, and if want to fit modern low-profile servos, these will fit in a stand-up position if you choose, for a more central position in the chassis.

DRIFT Version
The Cup Racer is available in a cool drift version too. With extremely hard drift tires and the retro Toyota Levin, you can hit the ground and get sideways in no time! The 4WD shaft drivetrain lets you maintain easy, controlled drifts on carpet, tarmac or any other surface, providing awesome thrills and loads of smiles. If you want to get sideways even easier, just add the #80588 D-Box Drift Assist system, and it will help you glide across apexes with almost no effort! The Cup Racer can be made into the circuit racer or drift show-off car you've always wanted!

Now available from HPI Racing is a new body for touring car racers: the Porsche 911 GT3 RS! This 200mm wide body will fit wide 1/10 scale sedan cars and features the usual HPI attention to detail. The Porsche 911 GT3 RS is the track-oriented supercar with the classic Porsche profile. The realistic styling includes front light buckets, a large molded nylon rear wing for high downforce, and decals that allow you to replicate the real car.

Like all HPI bodies, the Porsche 911 GT3 RS comes with a clear protective overspray film, window masks and a large decal sheet. The Fazer is an outstanding product that delivers the realism and excitement of a 1/10th scale on-road racer, and the meticulous scale detail of the World’s most exotic race cars. The Fazer features a full line of factory-licensed body shells. Usually, only the best and most accurately detailed bodies can be factory licensed, and every body shell in the Fazer line has passed the “factory” test. All of this usually adds up to big price tag, but amazingly the Fazer is one of the least expensive of its breed. Lots of muscle, good DNA stunning looks and at a bargain price – it doesn’t get much better than this!

Factory Assembled – Go from box to burning rubber in just a matter of minutes! The Fazer comes fully factory assembled and ready to run out of the box - simply pick up a 7.2/7.4V Battery and alkaline batteries for the radio System and you’ll be burning up the road. Licensed Bodies – Most RC fans prefer to drive cars that closely resemble actual cars, and the Fazer delivers. Each body has endured a rigorous process of inspection and approval by the manufacturer to be sure that it’s an accurate and high-quality replica. The Fazer bodies are not only that, they’re also replicas of real race cars with all of the major sponsor logos in the proper locations for the ultimate in scale detail. The bodies are fully painted, decaled and trimmed right out of the box.

Shaft Drive – Low-maintenance is a key feature of the shaft drive system that’s standard in the Fazer series cars. The molded composite driveshafts add an extra layer of protection by allowing a slight amount of deflection to help absorb any sudden and heavy loads on the drivetrain. A 68-tooth spur gear is at the center of the action, transferring the motor’s power to the front and rear of the car. A gear differential is installed at the rear of the car, while a solid axle (spool) is installed in the front. The combination provides a great balance of power and control with a differential set-up that is common in many expensive competition vehicles.

G-27 Motor – Big power comes from the G - 27 motor, which features a built in cooling fan. The cooling fan helps keep vital temperatures down, witch results in a better performing motor. The motor mount is unique because its circular which allowes you to better set your gear mesh. The EZ Mesh is simple all you need is to remove 2 screws and just rotate the motor to the desired mesh.

Low-CG Design – In addition to the motor, many of the chassis components are mounted Item No. 30903B Aston Martin DBR9 No.009 as low as possible. Keeping the weight closest to the lower chassis plate reduces the center of gravity, which is just what you need for maximum speed and “flat” cornering performance.

KA-16 ESC - The Fazer is equipped with a dependable ESC system that has been bash proven and race proven. The KA 16 has full functionality like Forward, Brake and Reverse. This ESC has the full capability of both Li-Po 7.4V 2 cell and NiMh 7.2V stick pack. Its fully compatible right out of the box with no modifications.

High-Grip Racing Tires – A great car needs great tires, which is why the Fazer includes racing slicks rated at 40-shore in the front and the rears are 30-shore – similar to racing tires that are used throughout the World. The combination is chosen for precise steering response and lots of traction, which helps to harness the power of the G-27 motor.

Foam Bumper - A racing-syle foam front bumper protects the detailed scale bodies from excessive damage in a front impact.

Set of 17 Ball Bearings – Ball bearings are the standard for reducing friction and wear, and to increase efficiency. It’s nice to know that the Fazer EP is full fo bearings; literelly. A full set of 17 ball bearings is used througout the drivetrain to keep things running smoothly.

Oil Shocks – soaking up the bumps in the road became a lot easier with the oil-filled shocks that are standard with the Fazer. The coil-over design permits quick ride height adjustments by adding or removing the included spring pre-load clips. There’s also a volume compensating diaphragm in the shock caps to keep air out of the oil for smoother damping action.

Setup of your on-road chassis is essential if you want to win, and HARD racing is serious about winning! That's why they have engineered these extremely accurate support blocks to help you achieve the most out of your chassis.

These support block are crafted out of high quality hard coated aluminum, they elevate your chassis to the correct height when using the H7107 1/8th On-road camber toe setup gauge and are very easy to read with their laser engraved measurement readings.

Grenit AudioTimer Launched

A few weeks ago, Grenit Performance of Stockholm, Sweden, introduced the RC AudioTimer 3.0 for use with any type of RC car. The product is intended for training purposes, and is a lap timer which not only stores the lap times for viewing on the computer, but also speaks the driven time through the user’s headphones after each lap.

The basic idea behind the RC AudioTimer is that whereas other lap timers provide similar functionality in recording lap times, none of them inform the user directly of their performance, while they’re training. This means that it is very hard to adjust driving styles and car settings according to the lap times recorded by your device. What was lacking, in short, was an easy way to monitor lap times while the last lap and car adjustment was still fresh in your mind. The RC AudioTimer 3.0 provides that feedback, speaking lap times immediately through the attached headphones.

The RC AudioTimer 3.0 package basically consists of three elements: a Transponder, a Track Unit, and a Driver Unit. The Transponder is mounted on the car, on the side which will eventually face the Track Unit. The weight of the Transponder is negligible, so as not to adversely affect the driving. The Track Unit gets placed anywhere along the track, and the Driver Unit (with the headphones attached) is worn by the driver during the training. The Transponder relays a signal to the Track Unit, which then wirelessly relays it to the Driver Unit. The latter will then speak the last lap time in a clear voice.

The RC AudioTimer 3.0 comes with a host of very useful other functions, such as measuring the time elapsed since the last refuel/battery change, and the ability to transfer all of the lap times to the computer for permanent storage and further analysis.

DarkSoul introduces their Shock Spring Collars and Lower Shock Seal O-Rings

These shocks collars are designed to give a better grip for adjusting your spring pre-load on Baja 5B, 5T, 2.0, and RTR. An o-ring is fitted inside of the collar (like stock) to give a firm lock on the collar to prevent it from backing out of adjustment, but we use a slightly fatter o-ring that will have just a bit more lock on the threads.
