Released today are these RPM Front and Rear A-arms for the Associated MT8 monster truck. These extremely tough suspension arms come molded in either blue or black.
These RPM suspension arms are designed to improve durability over stock A-arms. How did they do it? First, by increasing the amount of material surrounding the inner hinge pins by 7-percent, then increasing the width of that thicker diameter by nearly 40-percent. They then increased the amount of material at the outer hinge pins by 28-percent and they also increased the width there too, by another 9-percent.
The support beams also got beefier. At their thickest, stock a-arms are roughly 1/2” (12.7mm) thick, but taper down on both ends. That amounts to a loss of nearly 30-percent of their thickness at the outer hinge pins. Not with RPM! These A-arms are a full 1/2” (12.7mm) over nearly their entire length. They only taper slightly at the inner hinge pins (.45” or 11.43mm at their narrowest) to match the maximum size allowable of the inner hinge pin bosses. To compensate for that slight taper, RPM uses four massive support beams instead of two, making RPM MT8 A-arms the toughest alternative to stock available.
