Over time, a composite bearing carrier may loosen its grip and allow the bearing to fall out and end your day of fun. Aluminum tape, such as the kind used for ductwork in the home, can cure the problem. Cut a sliver of tape that’s just as wide as the bearing and long enough to wrap it once around with little if any overlap, and then press the bearing into place.
