The original 8IGHT took 1/8th-scale racing by storm and now the future of racing is hitting the track – the 8IGHT-X™ 1/8 Nitro Buggy. This is a completely redefined racing platform crafted from the ground up. Designed to be the best of all possible worlds for drivers, it features a new wider chassis, potent drivetrain, and major updates to the suspension package and geometry. The chassis width has been increased to aid in stability and to give the buggy a more neutral feel and new chassis side guards are improved and fit onto the chassis better. The weight has been moved forward in the chassis to provide a better driving balance and cornering. The lightweight large footprint engine mount aims to reduce flex underneath the engine to eliminate chassis fatigue on high traction race surfaces.

The all new machined 7075-T6 aluminum shock towers offer updated camber link holes as well as a taller rear tower. The 8IGHT-X also features machined aluminum shock caps with threaded bleeder valves for easy and consistent building. The shocks are optimized and lightened to decrease center of gravity and lower the weight of the car as well as offer the use of both 3.5mm and 4.0mm shock shafts.

The front and rear diff case has been redesigned to allow easier access to the differentials without removing the bulkheads from the vehicle. The center diff can be accessed easier too due to a split center diff mounts with the removal of just four screws allowing all of the brake mechanics to stay intact. The center drive shaft angles have been updated so they are equal front to rear allowing for a more 4WD feel to the vehicle.

An all new radio tray now puts the throttle servo near the engine to eliminate additional linkage. The updated radio tray will ensure the throttle servo is rigidly mounted to avoid any flex by floating the servo off of the center differential. Redesigned steering rack allows more ackerman adjustments and an improved servo saver eliminates bellcrank bind during high loads. The 8IGHT-X will move away from standard hardware and be on par with all other manufactures with metric hardware.

The body features a cab forward design helps with overall down force, which improves steering and overall stability. The 8IGHT-X comes standard with rear axle mud guards to protect them from damage during rough and wet condition running.
