OVERVIEW

Kicking off this article of Arrma’s remarkable 1/7-scale RTR vehicles is the aggressive, Mad Max-looking Felony 6S BLX Street Bash All-Road Muscle Car. Arrma offers the Felony with the resto-mod muscle car body in either black, highlighted here, or in orange. Both of which can be customized with the included engine intake, cooling accessory kit and decals so that you can change the look of your model any way you want. This multi-part, undercut muscle car body design with an aerodynamically adjustable wing delivers big with uncompromising street bashing style. Nicely complimenting the body are realistic 5-spoke wheels mounted with tough dBoots Hoons all-road tires. With close scrutiny you will find that Arrma engineers have included regular front and larger rear tires with the front and rear gearbox ratios matched to the different tire sizes, which provides authentic muscle car handling.

Just below the 1960’s and 70’s muscle car inspired body is a chassis that has proven to be another one of Arrma’s super durable bashers. The 6061-T6 anodized aluminum chassis houses a heavy-duty drivetrain with steel driveshafts plus all-metal diff outdrives and gearbox internals. Its toughness is reinforced with a center chassis brace. The adjustable, oil-filled, anodized aluminum shocks are mounted on strong, black-anodized aluminum shock towers. A potent brushless motor system is ideal for intermediate-level drivers drawn to intense street bashing or drag racing at 80+ MPH speeds (achievable in optimum conditions using a 6S LiPo and the included speed pinion gear).

To maintain control of the Felony 6S BLX is a 3-channel Spektrum DX3 radio and an SR6110AT receiver featuring AVC (Active Vehicle Control) technology for high-speed stability. A convenient voltage level indicator is built into the transmitter which lets you easily track on-board Smart battery power. The vehicle’s brushless power system also features Spektrum Firma Smart components, so it’s easy to receive real-time updates of ESC temperature, receiver (BEC) voltage, drive pack voltage and motor RPM.

The tough and realistic military styling of the Fireteam captures the unstoppable ruggedness of the special chassis concealed beneath. The multi-panel body comes factory-finished in your choice of matte black or matte white camouflage color schemes. A full roll cage complete with a detailed interior with four-man Fireteam crew that is ready for the next mission. Prominently sitting at each corner are a special wheel and tire package, featuring multi-terrain dBoots Fireteam tires for high-traction and smooth travel over rough off-road terrain.

Beating at the heart of the Fireteam is a factory-installed Spektrum 6S brushless power system enabling this 4WD Speed Assault Vehicle to perform huge jumps at 60+ mph speeds over harsh off-road ground. The extra-long wheelbase and wide-track suspension, along with adjustable, aluminum-bodied, oil-filled shocks, keeps the Fireteam in control. You can also feel confident that the Fireteam can handle loads of abuse thanks to its front and rear bumpers, robust skid plates and heavy-duty metal 4WD drivetrain.

The Fireteam was the first Arrma vehicle equipped with a mechanical handbrake, controlled from the included Spektrum SLT3 transmitter’s third-channel thumb switch. Once you are behind the wheel of the Fireteam and make use of the handbrake to perform evasive maneuvers and initiate drifts, you will appreciate this extra dimension to the driving experience.

Like the Felony, the Infraction 6S BLX V2 All-Road Truck is intended for hardcore on road action and is furnished with a serious 4WD brushless chassis. 80+ MPH speeds are doable in optimum conditions using a 6S LiPo along with the included speed pinion gear thus giving you extreme street bash sessions.

Arrma selected the 3-channel Spektrum DX3 radio with an SR6110AT receiver featuring AVC (Active Vehicle Control) technology and a Smart brushless power system components that provide real-time telemetry that also helps you reach and maintain maximum performance. The Spektrum Firma Smart components makes it easy to receive real-time updates of ESC temperature, receiver (BEC) voltage, drive pack voltage, motor RPM and a convenient voltage level indicator which lets you easily track on-board Smart battery power. Additionally and similar to the Fireteam, the Infraction is outfitted with a mechanical handbrake. Mounted on the chassis is a module for a rear vented disc brake and a powerful Spektrum SPMS650 brake servo to actuate it and is controlled by a convenient switch on the Spektrum DX3 transmitter.

The Infraction truck body arrives factory-finished with new matte gloss effect designs in either blue or silver. An included tunable wing lets you customize the downforce just the way you want it. There are also other aerodynamic features and these are found on the chassis. A full-width front splitter balances downforce distribution while a rear diffuser increases downforce and grip, enabling you to corner faster and with confidence. Aiding in the Infraction’s performance are realistic 5-spoke wheels wrapped with dBoots Hoons all-road tires that will keep their grip on the surface to pour on speed or stop on a dime.

Thanks to the robust 4WD drivetrain and aluminum oil-filled shocks, the Infraction possesses superb 4X4 traction. This allows you to run the Infraction on all roads, in all conditions—over loose gravel, asphalt, smooth dirt, and short grass, in the sun, rain, and ice. The 6061-T6 anodized aluminum chassis houses a heavy-duty drivetrain with steel driveshafts, plus all-metal diff outdrives and gearbox internals. Updated internal gears feature a new tooth profile for increased strength. A lower internal gear ratio reduces the center line transmission RPM, reducing the center drive shaft resonance and increasing drivetrain durability. Chassis toughness is reinforced with a center brace. Bearings are rubber-shielded, and the adjustable, oil-filled, anodized aluminum shocks are mounted on strong, black-anodized aluminum shock towers.

OVERVIEW

The last vehicle in our list of Arrma’s remarkable 1/7-scale RTR vehicles is the Mojave 6S V2 4WD BLX Desert Truck. With this truck you can conquer off-road terrain with ease thanks to the rugged construction of the Mojave that has the strength to survive nearly anything you throw at it. A thick anodized aluminum chassis is reinforced with front, rear and center braces for maximum durability. Bumpers and nerf bars supply impact protection on all sides. And thanks to independent suspension with bump-soaking oil-filled shocks, this desert truck handles like a dream.

Diving into the drivetrain, you will discover a very heavy-duty design. Steel driveshafts, metal gears, and all-metal diff outdrives are in place and ready to take the brunt of the power created by the potent Spektrum brushless motor system. Multi-terrain dBoots Fortress tires on pre-mounted on split-spoke wheels give plenty of grip. All this allows you to run the Mojave Desert Truck on 6S LiPo along with the included optional pinion gear to reach speeds in excess of 60 MPH.

Arrma was very particular in their selection of electronics to ensure the Mojave was well equipped. A very powerful brushless motor system is arguably the star of the gear which is comprised of the Spektrum Firma 150A Smart ESC and Spektrum Firma 2050Kv brushless motor. Handing the steering duties is a steel gear Spektrum S652 digital servo, which is 32-perent stronger and 5-percent faster than what was spec’d in previous versions of the Mojave. Finally, Arrma chose the 3-channel Spektrum SLT3 radio and Spektrum SR315 dual protocol receiver. It is a great choice thanks to the transmitter’s ergonomic design complete with a foam steering wheel for precise fingertip control and an improved hand grip and trigger feel. The SLT3 is compatible with Tactic SLT receivers to run other RTR vehicles you may own, and includes a third channel to control optional features such as lights and winches on models that have them.

Lastly, the Arrma Mojave 6S V2 4WD BLX Desert Truck doesn’t just perform like a winner, it looks like one too. A fully painted and decaled desert truck body has a color-coordinated roll cage and roof rails along with a nicely detailed cockpit.
