Without a doubt Tamiya has a huge following in the RC world. They’ve helped introduce this hobby to so many people over the years and if you ask any RCer to rattle off a few names of popular Tamiya kits or a list of Tamiya kits they would like to have, the Bruiser or Mountaineer would most likely be on the list.

Developing a new car brand is not an easy thing to do nowadays, but one company seems to be having an easy time gaining respect in the racing community and that company is SWorkz. SWorkz has been around for several years with quality products and designs and they have signed World Champion driver, Atsushi Hara to wheel their extensive line of race vehicles.

One year ago I introduced you to Adam Munds here in the Backyard page and shared with you his passion for the RC hobby and how he used that passion to organize RC Fest. This one-day event was created to promote the hobby and more importantly, educate people on the importance of blood donation.

Short course racing’s spot in the competition world is solid, requiring companies to build top-of-the-line trucks for those who want to win. Team Losi Racing is without a doubt one of those companies that is continually striving to produce better competition machines for their followers.

Tactic has made a name for them- selves with their easy-to-use, feature packed and frugally priced aircraft transmitters, but it has been a while since they gave any great deal of attention to their radios on the surface side. The wait is now over though, with the release of the TTX300.

Well, I hate to be the barer of bad news, but the RC hobby and industry isn’t just birthday parties with pony rides. Sure, the vast majority of my editorials focus on the positive things we encounter in the RC world and values I’d like to instill to our valued readers so you get the best experience possible for the hobby you love.
