We all have tons of miscellaneous screws that we dig through periodically. If you dump them out, it is rarely fun to pick them back up—until now, that is. All you need is a heavy-duty magnet such as one from an old car speaker and a zip-top plastic baggie. Flip the baggie inside-out and place the magnet down inside, and use it to pick up the screws. When you have them all, simply flip the bag right side out and pull the magnet away. Of course, you will still need to pick up any aluminum or stainless-steel hardware by hand, but this tip will save a lot of time.
