When you’ve finished running your nitro engine for the day, or when you want it to cool down before you run it again, you must make sure that the piston is at BDC—at the bottom of its stroke. To find BDC, remove the glow plug and look inside the sleeve. Rotate the flywheel until you see the piston farthest from the top and just before it starts to come back up. Marking the flywheel and case with a permanent marker after first locating BDC makes it easy to find every time.
