If you upgrade your Ruckus to a brushless motor system, the gearbox can become a weak point due to the added power. ECX offers a metal gear kit that includes the top shaft gear, idler gear and differential which was designed to handle brushless motors. The install requires a fair amount of wrenching, but is 100-percent worth your effort.
