Lugging your car, chargers, power supply, soldering iron, tools and everything else you need for a day at the track can at times be arduous. Several trips to your car and then several trips to your pit table is not only time consuming, it is tedious. Sure, several manufacturers make useful pit bags to help with this but many are too small and some are far too big. Enter the new 3Racing Carrying Case Version 4. Designed for 1/10-scale vehicles, it has the right amount of room, storage and functionality to store and transport your gear all in one trip.
The general design of the 3Racing Carrying Case Version 4 is similar to that of a piece of luggage you would take on a long trip. It has a retractable handle and two wheels on the bottom so you won’t put out your back picking it up and lugging it around. Simply pull out the handle, pivot on the two wheels and go. The large back side has a storage pocket ideal for storing set-up boards and the like, while either end has small to medium size storage areas ideal for tool sets and other small accessories. The top, where the retractable handle is located, also has an area to securely store small hand tools.
The zippered front allows for quick and easy access to the three large internal drawers. Each drawer is made of tough corrugated-type plastic, measures 48x22x14.5cm (18.89” x 8.66” x 5.70”) and even has a hard plastic insert so the drawer won’t wear and break when pushed in and pulled out of the tote. This makes it ideal to store 1/10-scale touring cars, drift cars and other similarity sized vehicles. The only downside I see with this is that it is just a touch too narrow to tote a 1:10 off road buggy. Still, with three compartments, there is more than enough space for a charger or two, tools, batteries, a power supply, transmitter and much more.
I’ve had the opportunity to use 3Racing Carrying Case Version 4 for some time now and really like it. The size is just about perfect with ample pockets and drawers for all my goodies. The retractable handle works well and the wheels spin freely and don’t bind up whatsoever. Even better, it is durable. I’ve had other cases that start out well but don’t stand the test of time. The 3Racing Carrying Case Version 4 is super tough. The handle does not stick, the drawers hold their shape and the zippers work freely. With so much going for it, take a long look at the 3Racing Carrying Case Version 4 before you buy another as it most likely has everything you are looking for.
