When working with Lexan to make a spoiler or body panel it’s often helpful to be able to score it to make a crisp, clean bend. A gentle score with a hobby knife can work but the seam is then prone to spitting completely from any type of impact. A food-saver vacuum sealer can give you a clean score by simply heating the plastic enough to allow it to be bent. Position the Lexan, lock the lid and hit the “seal” button. As soon as the light goes out, quickly remove the plastic and immediately bend it along the seam. Now you have a perfect bend and the plastic has not been compromised.
