rcMart presents Hong Kong’s First Indoor Scale Crawler Competition

rcMart recently just held Hong Kong’s first indoor scale crawler competition right at the center of town in a mall called CityWalk where people’s head turned amidst their busy day. Besides spreading the fun that is of R/C Crawlers, They also co-operated with local environmentalist group: Green Sense to source recycled materials for building their track and wanted to spread the word of caring for the environment.

On the day, they held two classes of 1.9 and 2.2 inch wheel classes. The 1.9 class saw the biggest attendance where racers raced for the honors of the top spot on the podium. The track featured tricky and tight spots such as a sea-saw bridge where racers found that being patient on the throttle paid dividends in the end over using too much horsepower! A 1.5m tall steep climb mixed with uneven proved to be a challenge to keep rigs on all four wheels!

At the end of the day, prizes were given out, trophies were won and we also held a raffle where racers saw as much as three different prizes won, rcMart would like to thank all sponsors who made this event possible by sponsoring us with prizes and input into track design.
