We love seeing new companies enter into the RC world and Rebel RC is one of the latest and they have one killer looking new vehicle being released. Available this week is the Rebel RC RJ Rebelcon super scale RTR crawler in 1/10-scale. This 4WD crawler is available with either a Rebel Orange with clear windows body or a Graphite with frosted windows body.
OVERVIEW
The RJ Rebelcon from Rebel RC is here to conquer the trail. Fully equipped with everything you need to get up the steepest climbs and over the toughest obstacles, the RJ Rebelcon is ready for any trail, crawling or overland adventure.
This trail rig has incredible scale looks thanks to its fully detailed and painted polycarbonate body fitted with dozens of individual scale features. It is available in either Rebel Orange or Graphite. Functional bumpers, scale replica tires, 1.9” beadlock wheels and a remotely operated complete lighting system finish the scale look. Look closely, and you won’t find any body clips – strong magnets secure the front end of the body, allowing the body to rotate on a rear-mounted pivot to give you access to the battery and electronics.
Under the hood of the RJ Rebelcon, you’ll find a 5mm thick 6061 aluminum twin rail chassis with solid axles on high-rise portal axles to give the RJ Rebelcon maximum clearance over obstacles that would stop other scale RC trucks dead. Hardened steel driveshafts and axles on rubber-sealed precision bearings feature throughout the drivetrain. Each axle is supported by a realistic 4-link suspension using aluminum links front and rear, plus adjustable oil-filled aluminum coil over shocks for complete control, no matter what the trail conditions are like.
The drivetrain features a powerful front-mounted 550-size 21-turn brushed motor controlled by the waterproof Hobbywing Crawler 60A electronic speed controller. The steering servo is also waterproof and has 23kg of holding power plus a clamping aluminum servo horn to get every bit of steering power to the front wheels.
The RJ Rebelcon has front and rear locking diffs controlled by the radio transmitter so you can easily get over and around the biggest and toughest obstacles, and you can flick a switch to change the gearing, too. Kick the transmission into HI gear for extra speed on smooth or level ground, then put it in LOW gear for the rough stuff – perfect for trail driving.
Finally, the integrated lighting system lets you keep driving even when it’s pitch-black outside. The RJ Rebelcon features bright white headlights, extra-wide 155mm (6”) roof-mounted light bar, cowl-mounted spotlights, front and rear turn signals and even lights in both front and rear bumpers.
The RJ Rebelcon is a fully-featured trail rig that’s ready to tackle any kind of adventure you’ve got planned. It’s been test driven miles over different terrains, and it’s easy to adjust in case you want to do some fine-tuning. All you need to do is just add batteries and you’ll be getting jaw-dropping action shots as it drives up and over the steepest, craziest obstacles.
