A runaway nitro vehicle is a heart-stopper. Play it safe and take the necessary precautions to avoid this situation. Here are two options for a throttle-return setup. The idea is to have the throttle pulled shut mechanically if receiver power is lost. The top drawing shows a standard throttlereturn spring connecting the high-speed needle to the carb linkage. The bottom drawing shows an O-ring of the appropriate size that goes from the linkage to the carb’s throat. This should be used in conjunction with a fail-safe unit.
