QUESTION:
Hi Tony! I am looking into buying a Traxxas Slash 2WD VXL. I just wanted to know if this is a good choice. Is there anything that is a better deal than the $374.95 the Slash retails for? Thanks!
Adam Z., Chilliwack BC, Canada
ANSWER:
Hi Adam, You really can’t go wrong with any Traxxas product. They’re fast, handle pretty good, are easy to work on and, if you respect them, are extremely durable. Plus, every aftermarket company on the planet makes upgrade parts for them. Is there anything better for the price? There are a few comparable trucks out there that are just as durable, fast and easy to work on as the Traxxas, they just don’t have the aftermarket support. However, if there is one truck I’d suggest you take a hard look at it would be the Traxxas Slash 4×4 VXL! Power isn’t anything if you can’t control it, so adding four-wheel drive to that monstrous VXL powerplant will make driving the Slash a whole lot more fun! Just something to think about.
