I recently had the pleasure of building and reviewing a Vaterra Twin Hammers kit. When calibrating the radio and esc it took off, without the body attached, and landed hard upside down. I was expecting many broken parts but to my surprise only the front shock mount/tower needed replacing. While I initially used a new stock part as soon as I received the Carbon Fiber Shock Tower from the people over at Xtreme Racing I had to install it.
Installation is super easy as all I needed to do was remove the front shocks to gain access to the tower and then remove 5 screws to take off the stock plastic tower. Installing the new tower was just as easy and in less than 10-minutes I was done.
